Mr. Imdad Ali Nizamani

Managing Director, Asim Agriculture Farm – Tando Soomro, Sindh, Pakistan

Born in Tando Soomro in 1960, Mr. Imdad Ali Nizamani has devoted his life to agriculture since 1978. Under his leadership, Asim Agriculture Farm (AAF) has evolved into a model of innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment across Sindh.

Over four decades, he introduced Banana Research & Development with Sindh Agriculture University, expanded drip irrigation networks, and developed AFIS (Agriculture Farm Information System) — Pakistan’s first Sindhi-language digital farm accounting solution.

His mission centers on scientific farming and rural uplift through continuous learning. Since 1992, he has hosted the annual Prize Distribution Ceremony to honor dedicated sharecroppers and farm staff for their outstanding contributions.

Key Achievements & Contributions

  • Launched Banana Research & Development program in collaboration with SAU Tando Jam.
  • Partnered in the ASLP (Australia–Pakistan Mango Project).
  • Implemented Global GAP Certification for export-standard mango production.
  • Developed the Sindhi-language computerized farm accounting system AFIS.
  • Established modern labour colonies with housing, utilities, and welfare facilities.
  • Built a seminar hall and training center for farmers, researchers, and agri-delegates.
  • Conducted Farm Management Courses on Banana and other capacity-building workshops.
  • Actively promotes agricultural education and farmer collaboration throughout Sindh.

🇵🇰 Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (2006)

For research contributions in combating Banana Bunchy Top Virus (BBTV).

🏅 FAO Shield (2003)

For achieving record wheat yield per acre in Pakistan.

🥇 Chawla Kissan Time Award (2004)

Recognized as the Best Progressive Grower of Sindh.

Community & International Exposure

Mr. Nizamani served as Chairman of Union Council Tando Soomro (1987–1992) and as Chief Patron of Tando Soomro Development Organization. He represented Pakistan in agricultural study tours across Malaysia, Egypt, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Turkey, and Qatar — promoting cross-cultural exchange and modern farming practices.
